My pond was stocked in February with CNBG, RES, and FHM. My CNBG have begun eating floating feed and are doing quite well I think. Besides a bullet or a turtle trap, is there another way to keep turtles from eating the feed?

Not that I've found. Bullets and turtle traps are all that have worked for me.

Brought the turtle traps in for a mani pedi and I had 14 turtles waiting for one of the feeders to throw yesterday.

I consider turtles just part of the pond. And, they are the clean up crew so I like them. Yeah, they do eat fish food but I have never figured they were a problem. I figure each of them MIGHT eat about 50 cents worth per year. I waste more than that by letting it wash up on the bank on windy days.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
