Wickedinhere,
The first day should be no longer than 15min. Double your time each day until you reach 6 hours contin. use. After that, 24/7. Example:
Day 1 = 15 Min. Day 2 = 30 Min. Day 3 = 1 Hr. Day 4 = 2 Hr. Day 5 = 4 Hr. Day 6 = 5 Hr. Day 7 = 6 Hr. Day 8 = 24 Hrs/Day
This is the safest way to start a new system and re-start a system that has been off for the winter.
In your case, unless you have a O2 meter to monitor the levels and temperature, I would leave the system on. You don't ice over that I know of down there.
Have you got a clearing in the rain to be able to install the system yet? If so, any photos?
