Why not saturate the well water with DO before release into bottom of pond? I'm thinking of a couple of approaches that may work.

Last summer I aerated only between 2 and 5am (1/4 acre pond 9 ft deep here in New Hampshire). My Rainbows survived last summer, not sure about the brookies - they have seemingly disappeared...

So now I'm putting in a well to cool things down, hopefully providing 30 GPM at 48 deg f. (Would love to grow brookies year over year)

If well water had good DO, then it would seem a bunch of the summer-temp issues could be addressed.

Has anybody done that, and can recommend a design? Cecil Baird commented that his pumped well-water provided DO-saturated water, I think. Cecil, do you have some means of putting DO in your well water?
