Homemade aeration IT WORKS with Pics!! I finally have my aerator up and running. I have a ¼ Gast rotary vane compressor bought off of E-bay for 147.00 including shipping. I bought dual membrane diffuser from a non pond boss advertiser whom shall remain nameless until they advertise here (spoke at length and gave them the web address), for 125.00. 675 ft of 1 inch black poly tubing and all fittings from Lowes for 135.00, a plastic box and fan from home depot for 32.00, a digital programmable timer for 13.00 and rented a trencher for the run to the pond for 95.00 bucks! OH’’ I also stole and hacked off my wife’s garden hose until I can get some forever sink tubing for the diffuser. It has been up and running for 5 days. Pump is holding 5 psi and is running cool as a cucumber. The boil is huge and the water has improved in just 5 days but my fish have stopped eating. If I had to do it all over agin I would buy the kit from Ted at forevergreen.!

Man, your water quality looks good, cowboy!
Good job on the system, and that's very exciting about an all bluegill pond.
Holding a redear sunfish is like running with scissors.

Looks good, Salty. That FA will be gone in no time. As Bruce said, good looking water. What dye and how much did you use?
