Gotcha. Java is turning into a big problem. The latest is the Dalai Lama exploit for Macs. I guess they figure Mac owners are more likely to contribute to causes. My name must not have been on the approved list.

Java got hacked in a big way. Java is in just about everything. I would suggest that it is like a "keystone" that makes the rest of it work.
I told my brother to run a boot scan, and YEP! He has the bugs also!!! He wanted to know which item to select after finding one. I told him to select "delete all", otherwise you might be there for quite a while.
I wonder if this is the root cause of BGK's initial problem.

Could be. Java and JavaScript can run nasty apps in a browser, and so can Adobe Flash. IMO, that's primarily what's behind the push to HTML5. Adobe lost this battle, and is killing Flash slowly. Even Adobe's own WYSIWYG software Dreamweaver writes HTML5 compliant code now.
I have several programs that require some type of JRE to run, and I'm waiting for something bad to hit them. But, so far, so good.

Can we worry about java later and get me back on the site I think we're trying to figure out how they got access to your computer to begin with, which would really help. I'll defer to Dwight and JKB for expert help since they're far more up on this than me, but here's my layman thoughts. First, I'd rule out what it ain't. Is there any way you can hard wire access to the internet. If so, then can you access PB? Second, are there any other forums that you can post to? I would open up an account at another site that uses UBB, and try to post a simple reply to somebody else's post. Texas Fishing Forum uses the same software. If it posts correctly, then it's probably not UBB causing the problem. Third, do you have a friend that has a laptop that could come over and try to access PB? If they can't either, then I would think the wireless router address is the issue. I don't have any personal experience with ATT services, but if you can tell them it's not the WiFi itself, it's not UBB, and it's not the specific computer, then maybe it'll be easier to get help from them. Time Warner has reset my router address several times, so it can be done. Hope this helps.

Like I also said before, you aren't banned anywhere on the forum and you can logon from elsewhere, so the forum isn't your issue.
As FireIsHot says, you need your router hard reset with a new address.

Well, BGK. I am by far no expert and have been reading for several hours this morning on the subject trying to figure this out.
For grins and giggles, on your puter, open a browser and type "whats my ip" , your public ip address should show up.
Copy this and PM it to Dwight. He can double check just to make sure all the numbers are correct.
I do not know if Dwight uses MAC addresses, but send him that also. (this would be on your router)
If Dwight says it is all clear, you should be fine and not have to reset anything. Pretty simple!
However, if the hacker utilized your system ip address to wreak all this havoc, I would not blame PB for keeping this blocked.
If the hacker still has access to your system, not saying they do, but changing your ip won't make a bit of difference to anyone.
You probably have a dynamic ip and they are not real easy to change. Depends on the ISP. I tried changing mine thru several methods, but still comes up the same.
I had my router reset last Friday by Charter, but that was for changing my service plan. My Charter package went from 99.43/mo to 175.88/mo. Told them that is way too much and only have internet now.
The call to change your ip address narrows this down quite significantly, and pretty much to an exact point.

As FireIsHot says, you need your router hard reset with a new address. Hard resetting does not give a new Ip.. And I can't login with anything from my house (4 different computers all on 1 wifi) it has to be my router blocked everything else has been done except giving it a new IP (which if its not blocked shouldn't need a new one??)

Neither of the IPs in your previous message are being blocked here; nothing even close.
Everything points to your router IP being locked out or blocked somewhere, but we are not doing it.
Get your ISP to reset your router with a new IP address from their console. Only they can do that.
Changing an IP address on a router is a common place action especially after a security intrusion.

Dwight, thanks for stepping up and helping a brother out. Now, my question is this, what malware/scam/keylogger/ etc. caused this? And, what was done to prevent it again? I see this type thing happening more and more, and I'm curious how BGK will prevent it in the future.
My mother will click anything that pops up on her screen, and it's caused me much anguish.

You'll have to ask Dwight.. He called me back while I was working and left a messaging with a brief statement saying what he did (can't recall what it was).. He told me try it now well I kinda was busy and here lately not being able to log on at home has really killed my interest in the forum (sorry guys but it sucks not getting on your favorite site from home lol) anyways I tried it and it worked.. I feel like I missed so much info and gotta catch up..

Was it you that did it all That would be rather impossible. I am just wondering how Dwight got your ISP to change your IP address is all. That was indicated as your problem of not being able to log on. I know when I had my upgrade and new IP address, I practically had to give them a DNA sample. Dwight works in this world, and am sure he has some tricks.
