Here's a great little personal water purifier that is cheap insurance for supplying safe drinking water when camping or in an emergency.

Lifestraw does make good products.

If you had named this post "Stocking Stuffers" I would have thrown some other stuff out there, but I didn't want to hijack your thread.

OK then. Here's mine. Everybody needs a solar charger for camping, or the scat pack.

I'm not sure if I really want to know -- but, what is a "scat pack"? I was afraid to Google it. cry

Calling it a bug out bag is a little to "doomsday preppers" for me. I carry an old Alice pack in the Mule that has everything I might need at the farm. Fence pliers, woodman's pal, first aid kit, a Ruger Mark 3, etc. Just lot's of loose junk that rattles around otherwise.

Phones on roam, and my cameras are always needing a charge, so this got added.

Oh! That makes me feel a lot better. I've actually got several of them, like one for the chain saws, one for plumbing, one for electrical, one for carpentry, and a general purpose one that is to heavy to carry around. I just don't keep any weapons in any of mine.

Allen,
Think holster.....

I like the solar charger, but I think it available cheeper, I'll see if I can find that link. A buddy of mine got that setup and used it at Philmont, it kept him going the whole time.

I found a fair sized solar charger at Harbor Freight for $15.00. The claim is that it will keep your auto battery charged if you put on the dash and plug into the lighter.

I'm going to try it on a 12 volt game cam.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
