Well the story goes like this. I was on the stand at 615 it was 25 here for a temp so I was excited. Figured they would be moving some!
I shot a buck at about 645ish A.M. but I could not find it. I looked for about an hour and 15 minutes and I just knew I hit this buck. I couldn’t find any blood or anything so I was getting pretty discouraged to say the least! While I was looking for the one 8 point another one came walking up on me with it’s nose to the ground looking for a doe he was on the trial of. He never even saw me as I was standing in a creek so about half my body was below ground. I stopped him with a grunt and dropped him in his tracks where he stood. I was so sure I thought I hit that other 8 point I did one more large loop in and around just to look one more time and SURE ENOUGH!!! I found him about 40 yards away from where I shot the smaller 8. I couldn’t believe it!! The bullet lodged into this shoulder and he had no exit wound so that’s why I had a hard time finding any blood!! Thank God I found him he is to nice of a deer to be left out in the woods just to die!!! For that matter any deer is! Anyway thought I would share a picture of a day that I won't ever forget and will have fun telling the story around the camp fire for years to come of shooting 2, 8 point bucks in less than and hour and a half.

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
Same here prolly the toughest deer season I've been through I only missed 7 days of bow season and all of gun season.. Now my buck tags are full and I can wind down a lil.. Congrats RC
I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..
Hey thanks everyone! We are aloud 2 bucks here Dave they have to have at least 3 points on one side to be legal to shoot. Been a heck of a hunting season for me!

When I had my land about 15 miles west of your pond, I was sitting on a hill when 2 big bucks faced down each other on opposite sides of a fence..1 was a 200# 12 point and the other a whopping 275# 10 point....I popped them both because the living deer just stared at the first one I dropped.
The only deer I didn't drop in it's tracks when shot, ran 200 yards and I figured I'd missed because she was facing away from me and I had a very thin opening to hit under the ribs to ensure a kill and I was walking back to the truck when she ran into me, then bolted before stopping on another rise...I walked back to my truck to find the doe 15 feet from it...lol
