Hmm... interesting. No idea of the price.

Boat Mounted Electro-Fisher - Model 2020

The Model 2020 is a boat mounted electro-fishing unit that features a 2500 watt, 300 volt battery-operated power source. Specifications are the same as the model 2000 but uses a larger 24V battery source along with higher wattage and voltage output.

I tried to copy the image to post it, but it won't let me.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I dared to scroll through the price list..............iirc it was 8770 for the boat unit and the hand held 6300.

Not quite sure how I feel about a hand held electric shocker though

I missed the price list. I thought you had to contact the company for that.

Yeah these things are pricey! They get even more pricey than that from other companies. My guess is they sell to government agencies so they inflate the price. Nothing like gouging the taxpayer!

I've used one in streams when I studied fisheries. I felt it was pretty safe.

Scott,

Believe it or not I don't think it would matter. If I remember right the current is very localized at the end of the wand.

I was in a shock boat with Greg in Jawjuh. He told me I could go anywhere in the boat but don't fall overboard.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Cecil, no idea. It was my first time to work the net in a shock boat and I had a ball.

Also don't let your dad dip out the fish with an Aluminum handled net. Right Cecil?

How did you find out about that Bob? Did Cody tell you or did I post it here?

Senility is most likely the cause Bob in my case. I drove to town once and couldn't remember what i went there for. Then it finally came to me at a stoplight!

I torment my dad all the time. It keeps him sharp. And he laughs about it later. Recently he misplaced his glasses;was sure they fell off the lawnmower and on to the pine trees he mows around. he looked for days. My mom found them tangled in a vacuum cleaner cord in a closet. I went out and hung them on a tree and said, "Hey dad what's that!" He was ecstatic and hugged me. He gave me a dirty look when I told him the truth. LMAO

Cecil, a bunch of us here can relate to your Dad. Bing, George, and a few others come to mind.

I recently left our bedroom and went to the other end of the house. When I got there, I couldn't remember why I was there. So, I went back to the bedroom to try to figure it out. Then I remembered that I went to use the hall bathroom. Of course, there is also one next to the bedroom.

I bet I have a dozen pairs of cheapo reading glasses and there is never a pair where I need them. When I go to find a pair, I sometimes get distracted by a job that I need to finish. Then I don't remember what I was doing before I got distracted.

I could relate a lot more stuff like that. It's a pretty common thing for those of us who have more years behind than in front of us. I laugh about it but my Wife sometimes gets peeved. As my Wife says, Dave has outlived his memory.

Dave,

I can assure you I misplace my glasses even with a lanyard attached to it! I have about 4 pair laying around. It's nothing not to be able to find one pair of them!

The lanyard does help though.

If I lost my glasses, I would never be able to see well enough to find them shocked
