Flatline winds up to 100 mph the speed of an F1 tornado that covered a large area from Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Columbus, OH that was 600 miles long. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/iwx/?n=june_29_derechoHey Scott (Esshup) is this cloud formation what you posted a picture of?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Yep, same one. I think they're full of sh..! I'm cleaning up after those winds, and there is an area in the woods that is about 50 yds wide and it comes and goes for over a half mile. Like a small twister was bobbing up and down. If it was straight line winds, why are trees pointed at 9:00, 12:00 and 3:00? I drove thru it near Wanatah, and the car was really getting shoved around on the road. Rain was horizontal. I didn't have much choice, no place to hide.
I was talking to one guy today and said that if it's straight line winds, then the insurance companies are off the hook, but if it's classified as a tornado, then they have to pay for damage. Don't know if it's true or not.

They are claiming the same event that happened here in VA was just straight line winds as well.
