Just got back from our Purina supplier and she said that she thought LMB pellets were on the list of products that Purina was going to discontinue. Anybody have any other information about that?

Not based on their website.
May just be a product change, because they have one of those eye catching "NEW" whatchamacallits, all about the LMB feed.
They could also be like other web sites that don't get around to fixing things for five years or so.
Got me hanging?

Looks like they're just going to be new and improved. Curious to see if prices change.

I sure hate to beat a dead horse.
I'm currently putting together the agenda for a 2013 four-state aquaculture conference sponsored by the PA and WV extension/agriculture services, and the WV Aquaculture Association. I hope to have one or more fish feed producers present, and hopefully at least one can make some presentations.
Purina will not even answer my emails.
By the way -- if you are an aquaculture supplier, consultant, etc., let me know if you might be interested in attending or displaying at an aquaculture conference in January 2013 that will draw from PA, WV, MD, and VA.

That would be odd. The folks at Texas Hunter said a couple months ago they were working on a feeder for the LM feed. I will email the guy I spoke with and ask.

If Purina is dropping the LMB food it just might be because the leading fish feeder makers have been "working on" LMB feeders for at least three years. It was discussed at the first Pond Boss conference at Big Cedar (PB III). What can possibly take that long? Not having a feeder that will dispense the fish surely does cut down of the market.
I've grown in the rural area less than 80 miles from Purina headquarters in St. Louis and it is very disappointing that Purina ignores this market and this forum as they do. If they still have a market manager over this product this forum should be required reading for them.

Ken Ken, Do you have a date yet for your show?

My SMB and HSB love AM LM formula. I've even caught a 13" YP on a sinking AM LM pellet "fly" [pellet and panty hose rig]. I like the idea of more protein/less energy expenditure, plus they're a blast to throw and see fish knock them out of the water. Just restocked midseason today with 1 400, 2 500, 2 600 and 2 LM bags = $272....maybe I should stock up on the AM LM just in case?
Condello and Lusk seem to have their ear...perhaps one of them can shed some light on the situation? Hate to beat a dead horse, but it sure would be nice if some healthy competition existed to provide us with alternatives.

Bing, any idea if they're making a feeder, or licensing one? I can't imagine the market would be that big unless they're going to market directly to fish farms.
Everybody with a welder makes corn and protein feeders, but our choices are pretty limited with aquaculture. Thank heavens we at least have TH Products.
