I just received two (2) AquaPro F-25-D feeders that I purchased from Overton Fisheries.
Has anyone on the forum had experience with these units?
I was disappointed that the wiring was exposed and not covered with steel conduit as shown on another website - (not AquaPro).
Todd contacted them and their response was less than satisfactory. Their Rep emailed me and explained that they did not provide the conduit to protect the wiring, and was not responsible for the other website.
It was a simple job to retrofit – about 25 cents and 15 minutes labor with “poly” conduit – no steel conduit that size at Home Depot.
I recall in the past that Greg Grimes had an exposed wiring problem that Stren (now AquaPro) corrected.
They appear to be very good units which I plan to install over water – I’ll take pictures of installation.
I am extremely pleased with the two Stren ADF-75 feeders that are presently in use.

My 25-D has metal conduit if you are talking about on the outside of the unit. No exposed wires. It has worked well no problems. It has worked better than the ADF-75 which has worked well after a minor repair.

Greg, I guess I’m happy with customer service since they told me is that I can return the feeders if not satisfied, without offering a solution …… Ewest, I was sure that they had a steel conduit covering the outside wires at one time because it was posted on another website – formerly a Stren site. Exposed wires on a fish feeder (coons?) is pretty rinky-dink to me – but not enough to return.

we had two sweeney feeders ($$$) on our dock and the raccoons opened the side panel and fried the innards. anyone know about a warranty on these buggers? or does sweeney replace them? we had a guy tinker with them but he said the panel is shot. i only fill the thing and turn it on, so all them crazy wires and stuff confuse me.
greg-what feeder is it that you suggest? approx cost with delivery and time of delivery?
the pond i am talking about here is NOT the one we talked about earlier. this pond is 12 acres and the BG and cats have been pellet trained...until about 5 months ago when the feeders got fried.....are there any issues with feeding full time when greg sends me my new feeders? start slow or not?

You might just be fine when Billy fixes the feeders. If you still need one let us know. You can find info here. http://www.lakework.com/products_fish.php Delivery time is within a week. Delivery cost on 75 lb is $45-$55 and 200 lb $55-70. Always start slow with feeders, especially this time of yr.

Below are pictures of installed AquaPro F-25D feeders. One is a stand-alone feeder for ¼ acre pond and the other a supplementary feeder for main pond. These feeders are “over-the-water” feeders, and will be in deeper water when ponds are full. After almost 10 inches of rain in the last two weeks, ponds are still 2ft low. I am sending a link to AquaPro on the assumption that they are interested in customer feedback: "I highly recommend that the exposed wiring on these units be covered." George Glazener N.E. Texas

I got them and that's not always the case.
Dang, I wish I knew what causes that.

George :
I can see them now. Nice pics. That was a great idea on attaching metal plant hangers to fence posts. I should have thought of that as it would be a lot better than tying wire to trees.
