Ok...When I first started this pond addiction thing I was a little skeptical about the whole feeding thing..But after taking in all the advise and reading about all the benefits I decided to buy some feed this year and all though i have not been feeding long enough to see any of the physical benefits I have got to say that feeding has become one of my favorite pastimes. Me and my kids have enjoyed throwing handfuls of feed to the fish and watching them boil at the surface. It is also a great way to keep an eye on your fishes progress. I was amazed to see how quickly the hsb I just stocked took to the feed and also how many minnows I actually have. Not to mention that when the minnows come up to feed then the hbg and bcp start in on the minnows. Truly awesome... Thanks to all for prodding to feed....It has a lot more to offer than just being good for your fish. Now that I am hooked on feeding what would you recommend for feeding my young fish. I have figured out that everyone seems to like the aquamax and that it is a purina product but still not clear on the "numbers" behind the name. Which would be best for smaller fish? 6-8" hsb, fhm, and such?

For instance, click on trout, and it opens up a different window. In that window there is the size of the food, etc. I think the food in the light blue area is sinking, and the darker blue is floating.

I'd use D505, referred here to as AquaMax 500 for those sized fish.
