I'm currently draining one of ponds and have been disappointed that I haven't found anything interesting as the water recedes. I was hoping that I'd find a car body, old boat, skeletal remains or something else cool. Maybe when we start digging in the mud.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I will be curious just to see what fish if any are holding out at the bottom of this pond.

I used a dragline to clean out a golf course pond and found about 30 golf clubs and 1 golf bag with a full set of clubs.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I found a weed cutter I lost when the rope broke about 10 years earlier. Never did find my scuba flipper though.

Justin just bought a house on a 2 acre pond. We will be thinking/hoping to find treasure in a month or two as well just as soon as he closes on the deal.
heavily spring fed pond so it wont be an easy task to drain, but the guy he bought the place from seems to have been involved with the Chicago Mafia back in his day so we decided to drain the pond as opposed to treasure hunting while scuba diving........

His name is Frank but I dont know his last name. He is probably 70 years old and I have heard stories from the neighbors he has in the past legitimately threatened to have their legs and arms broken if they step foot on his property....kind of fun if you ask me to spice things up a bit.
Seriously though we were just thinking and talking about the exact same thing as bullhead originally posted as to all the treasure or bodies we could find when we drain this puppy.
We are going to kill out all the existing fish and raise brown trout for sure as the focal point fish and who knows what other species will find their way in. I am partial to all the coolwater species of fish. one thing I do know is there will be more lbs of fish per gallon of water in this pond once we get rolling with it than perhaps any other pond on the planet. The water is 25' deep, crystal clear and lots of cold fresh water pouring in and out all the time. Perfect pond for large amounts of heavily feed trained fish.

I was working a construction job on a bridge.. We dug out the small creek under the bridge and found a car and bank safe. Funny part was the cops came and pretty much just said put it back where you found it lol..

Sounds like a cover up, or conspiracy to me No thoughts of trying to crack the safe ever occur? , just to see what is inside

Wow I'd kill for that verses pumping water like I do now! (No pun intended with using the world kill and mafia in the same thread!)

Funny part was the cops came and pretty much just said put it back where you found it lol.. My dad found a high powered rifle and a scope in a field once when he was doing some telephone repair work (after retiring from the military he was an I & R man for a phone company). My dad called it in, and a local small town cop came and picked up the rifle, no gloves, and dumped it into his trunk. My dad knew the cop and said he wouldn't be surprised if it became his personal rifle. I think there was an assassination of a civil rights leader in the nearest big city around that time...
