These fish are about 4 yrs old. Stocked in 2008 at about 6" from Todd Overton. 6lb 1oz, 21 inches, caught 3-16-2012 5lb 9oz, 21 inches, caught 4-13-2012 We caught another one (no photo) that went 5lb 2oz on Easter. They were all released to fight some more. We feed about 5 lbs/day of a blend of AQMX Largemouth, 600, and 500.
Thanks,
Darryl

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

The larger one was caught on rooster tail spinner (red/black) and the smaller one was on shrimp/hook. I can always tell when someone has hooked a hybrid as they fight/swim left to right, whereas LMB seem to pull directly against the rod.
Thanks to advice on Pond Boss, I crimp/remove all barbs on hooks/lures and cut treble hooks down to 1 or 2 hooks. I dont believe it has hurt my catch rate, but I can definitely say that it helps keep my fish in good condition after being caught/released. I can unhook all my bluegills very quickly even with their small mouth.
Thanks,
Darryl

What size is your pond Archer?
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Yeah, that first one is just such a hog!!!! But they're all awesome!

First picture with fish probably had eggs. Female HSB at least some do develop eggs.

The LMB that were purchased at the same time were feed trained and do take feed. I have some pure Fla LMB that do not take feed. The LMB are approaching 4 & 5 lbs.
I did not know the HSB would develop eggs. Is there a good way to tell male from female ?
Thanks,
Darryl

If it's over 20" it's almost certainly a female. Males of both parental species(white bass, striped bass) have males that are substantially smaller than the females. Other than that, there is no way to tell for sure.
