Keep going Connor.

There's a supplier up in Arkansas that delivers to Weatherford. The name starts with an F....or was it an H...? Well I'll look at. The receipt when my dad gets back, it's in his car. Oh geez I forgot pictures!!! I'll take some at the BG stocking.

Oops! No BG stocking pictures as it was quite muddy and wet! 200 CNBG went in on Saturday. They were between 1 and 1 1/2 inches and today I went and got 40 lbs. of floating catfish feed. The brand was either Fisherman's choice or Sportman's choice and crude protein is 32%. How fast will the BG and FHM start to take the food and how much growth should I expect this season? Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the first wave of fish management. My BG took to the feed slowly, but steadily. Once they found it, it got nuts. They now follow me around the pond every day like they are a dog and I am carrying bacon.

My RES never have come up to feed, and my minnows did not last long. I also have YP (which love to feed at certain times of the year) and LMB.

What is really interesting in year three is that two large bass will sit below the BG when I feed, and take shots at the small ones when they go after the pellets. I have seen them get one so far. I do have two LMB that eat feed as well.

Congrats on the fish stocking.
In my Dad's pond we fed the floating pellets and everything seemed to like them. The LMB's ate and the 'gills and hybrid sunfish just about turned themselves inside out to get at the pellets. The funniest was the channel cats. They just came up and opened their mouths and started swimming and mowing it in.
Again, congratulations on your fish and good luck.
Good fishing,
Dan

Aquatic plants plants have sprouted all over the pond and grow in large clumps near the bank. Water visibility has improved greatly and I added boards for minnow spawning structure.

5 floating boards about 2 square feet apiece were added to the pond today . Minnows have taken readily to floating feed but so have the turtles. Turtles will soon be eradicated. Bluegill have shown good growth and water clarity is excellent. Should I leave a couple a turtles to scavenge?

I would leave a couple of them. You may as well. More are going to show up anyway.
