Any reports from our DFW-area friends regarding this afternoon's tornadoes?

I'm in DFW (Irving) and it's still going on. 4 or 5 tonadoes so far. I haven't of any injuries or worse but they went from about 20 miles or so south of the DFW area and are moving north. Just had one hit the ground in Forney which is just south of Greenville. Not good.

Just read reports of Forney High School being hit, maybe a touchdown near Balch Springs, and state of disaster declared by Arlington mayor. Touchdowns near Rowlett, Justin, and Carrolton. Reforming storm in north Dallas.

How'd ya like to be sitting in your den watching the Weather Channel and have this puppy land on your roof? Lets hope where-ever it landed it didn't kill anybody.

It was pretty much a non event in my area. We got 1.25 inches of rain with no nasty stuff. I was at a friends boat repair shop carpeting my bass boat. I didn't even slow down.

Some areas of the metroplex got hit and it is now moving East of Dallas.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

We got torrential rains here at the casa in Garland, but missed the wind.

I'll head to the farm Thursday morning to check everything out, but they got big rain too. This will already be the third time this year, that water's running through my drain. Didn't happen once last year.

Made another bream deposit to my breeder pond, and probably lost those to the big lake too.

So, if any of you East TX guys need rain, just buy me CNB. A storm will hit by the next weekend, guaranteed.

Amazingly, no injuries have been reported.

I'm in Rockwall, they missed us by about 3 miles. Never heard a "train" but it got pitch black outside. Had the kiddos in the pantry.

There were 2 "lockdowns" at school. My 6 year old had to assume the duck and cover position for about an hour. I asked her if she was ever scared and she said "No Daddy, but I did almost fall asleep."

It made me chuckle.

All is well and amazingly so far no fatalities.

A huge tornado on the ground for 25 minutes through a poulated area...amazing.

We got a lot of rain but the bad stuff passed us on both sides. Got the kiddo out of school a little early but none the worse for wear.
