Tilapia VS FA
Well I went to Bass Tech this past weekend and heard about FA and How Tilapia would help control it and how Tilapia would also be a great forage fish as my LMB population explosion occurs, so Yesterday George and I went to see Todd Overton at Overton Fisheries to get some very nice looking Tilapia for our ponds. There is one other twist to this story, I may have enough warm spring water to enable the Tilapia to over winter in our pond. Stay tuned, I will post more info as I get it!
Here are some of our pictures from yesterday.
George's little pond has Primrose and FA in great quantities, His Tilapia are going to think they have died and gone to Heaven!

Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see how well these do. How long do you think before they start to spawn?

According to Todd and George, they spawn every 30 days or so. Todd also said that it is not out of the realm of possibility to have 3-4 LBs tilapia by the end of the season!
Also, I'll post how they do against my FA and Azolla!
