Sorry I have to blow off some steam.
A poster in a taxidermy forum says Bass Pro Shops released some yellow perch I sold them for their show tanks into Bull Shoals. Of course this is absolute bologna as they didn't, aren't allowed to release any of their fish, and for what they paid for them it wouldn't make any sense.
I sold one of my large perch to this taxidermist and he claims in the statement below that the DNA of the perch I sold him matched that of the perch found in Bull Shoals.
I question he had DNA taken and even paid the expensive fee it would take to have it done, but even if he did it means nothing as my perch are of Lake Erie linage so...
I'm 100 percent confident this is entirely fabricated but why do people have to make this stuff up?
"Bass Pro released a bunch in Bull Shoals lake several years back. The DNA of those is the same as some I got from you. So far about 1.lb 14oz is the largest we have seen."

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Suggest you contact Bass Pro and let them know. If it is false then they have been liabled and accused of a crime. They have a reputation to protect.

Eric,
I did report it to them the last time he said this. I was told they pretty much ignore these statements as they get a lot of crack pot stuff like this (or something to that effect.)

Of course I edited it about five times before I posted it.

Actually Shorty I stayed pretty level headed in my reponse. Of course I edited it about five times before I posted it. One of my favorite things to do when someone puts me over the edge is to write a letter that says EXACTLY what is on my mind, print it, sign it, read it out loud, then drop it in the shredder. Very therapeutic!

Very therapeutic! I went out and swatted carpenter bees on the deck of my log home to release the steam. They don't sting (at least I haven't been stung yet) and when you hit them they feel like hitting a shuttle cock with a badminton racket. Makes a nice boing sound too when you hit one. Dumb as heck too. They will face me and provide a nice target.

Bee therapy, eh? You know, since bee pollen is all the rage these days, it doesn't surprise me at all that Cecil's therapy breakthrough works! Market it quick!

I'm not even sure these bees produce pollen Todd. They have no nests as far as i know and just bore pencil diameter holes into wood a few inches straight in and then diagonally and lay their eggs.

We have those goofy wasps that crawl inside a hole, lay their eggs and fill the end with mud.
A couple weeks ago, I opened the box a pressure transducer came in. The hole in the end (where the air goes in) was filled with mud. What is really strange, the transducer was in the factory box, Inside a metal cabinet that was inside of a storage crate. How the heck did it get in there?
I hope it still works! It is brand new and would cost 220.00 to replace. I have a Master Test Gauge to compare it to. I'll find out here soon enough.

It's amazing where those darn things get in. We have 'em up the wazu each year. I replaced a high intensity light on the dock this winter just because of them. I think our deck probably provides the best spots for those mudpacks. I've been thinking about some C4, but that might void the house warranty.

It is totally amazing to me, that this little creature navigated it's way thru all the obsticals, and found the perfect spot to continue on! If it don't work, I'll give 1+ to the wasp for sheer survival! If the transducer works, then I would suggest that Ashcroft add Wasps, in some form, to their documentation
