I have a fish farm that gets land use value for taxation identical to all ag. IE. Crop land, pasture, CRP etc.

Due to the infancy of fish farming here in WI, I am having difficulty communicating with the state assessors and the IRS the similarity. Has anyone out there had any experience??

Fish farming in Wisconsin has been going on a long long long time. I have no clue as to how the land is assesed...The taxes on my old fish truck more than tripled this year over last and the truck is older.

You should really consider joining the WAA if you are a fish farmer, or planning on becoming a fish farmer.

Like Rex said, Aquaculture has been around for a very, very, very long time in Wisconsin.
