Hey! Where were those things when we visited a few weeks ago? All we got were your cast-off bullheads!

Actually, the bullheads, which were the biggest I'd ever caught or seen, were delicious and greatly enjoyed. About 40 people enjoyed half of them at our Memorial Day party at Gary's place. The other half will be cooked at our place for a Father's Day celebration that will include 40-50 people.

Anyway, beautiful bass.

Sunil's pond is one of the most incredible fisheries anywhere. He has grown a lot of fish that are typically only
seen hanging on sport shop walls. I'd have to say that I've never caught bigger yellow perch or bullheads anywhere. His smallmouth are morbidly obese. The LMB that patrol the shoreline are scary big, and look like clown-sized baseball bats pushing through the water.

Anyway, beautiful fish. You sure do have a great fishery.

I was trying to get some weights on these hybrids. It seems that once they get to a certain length each inch really adds a lot of weight. the first fish weighed over a pound more than the second one even though its only a couple of inches longer. the second one weighed less than seven and the first one weighed more than eight. the first one was about twenty five inches and the second one about twenty three. Sorry for the poor pictures but here is my photography helper. He makes it harder than easier

I have to second Ken's comments - Sunil's pond is just amazing. Back in 2010 when we did our first regional gathering there, we were nailing LMB that were absolute hogs. That is one diverse, productive, and healthy fishery for sure, and this great looking fish is just one example of it.

Few fish from this weekend:

Another 11" RES - no signs it's the same fish, so I was pretty pumped!

As you've likely noticed, along with some of my fish my personal WR is well over 100%. I'm going to quit snacking on AM LM and am adopting a strict diet of zooplankton - started yesterday. Will keep you posted on the results.

That's a pig, Sunil. Nicely done. Are those lilly pads in the background?
