Okay I made a mistake, I used hydrated lime to clear our pond and it did work but I did not know we had catfish till I found two dead. After reading some post on here i now realize that hydrated lime will kill fish. Now I'm just wondering how long do I need to wait to start putting fish in it. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum! Go to an aquarium shop or a place where they sell aquarium supplies. Get a pH test kit, and test the water in the pond. You want the pH to be around 6.5-7.5. You can use Aluminum Sulphate to bring up the pH. Or, if you just want to wait, test it every couple of weeks.

With all the rain it is likely ok now. Two-three weeks is usually enough. But do the test anyway to be sure.

I think the PH will stabilize and go back the way it was unless the pond is really really small.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
