Wanted any "customer reviews" of sorts on the Beckermill or Outdoor Water Solution's Windmill Aerator. Anyone have any opinions one way or the other? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Neither company so far has great customer service. Big thanks!

the "pond Report" http://www.thepondreport.com/windmill-aeration.shtml#reviewsdoes not recommend the "Superior Windmill". Why would they 'not recommend' I wonder? Perhaps because they sell Outdoor Water Solutions Windmills? Any owners of a Beckermill; OWS or Superior Windmills.............if you have any 'pros cons' etc., etc., I would greatly appreciate it. I can't seem to get any real consensus on Windmill Aeration Manufacturers. Thanks.

I can tell you a little about OWS. We've got one here at LL,2 that services three small ponds. I've been pleased with it enough that Texoma Hatchery has become a dealer. We believe in OWS and the windmill for several reasons. They have been extremely responsive to our customer service needs. They've even been here, at LL,2, while traveling to other places, to make a quick repair and replace a rubber valve. I was impressed with that. We recently bought their new product...a box that we can plug into electricty that keeps the aeration going when the wind isn't blowing.
I don't know about the other product, but I've been exceptionally pleased with OWS.
And, they have been a faithful advertiser with Pond Boss magazine for several years, too.

We are a OWS dealer here in GA if your interested. Great folks just never sold one due to lack of wind on consistent basis in GA. If your in south GA where flat might be a decent options for you. GL.

Jeff,
Hi - I'll throw my two cents in. I spent a lot of time last winter reading and "researching" which windmill system to purchase for my pond. I ended up going with the OWS compared to the others. I've had some questions and they have been really, really responsive.
The build quality seems really good and reliable. I just don't think that dollar for dollar you will beat them. One selling point for me was the "oversized" windmill head.
I would recommend installing the base in concrete with lag bolts, versus the posts they ship with it. The posts are long, but I had mine topple over in a sever storm (65-70 mph wind) last summer and wished I would have done it from the start. I was able to order replacement parts from OWS and got them fast - which saved me time and money on a total replacement. I'd be happy to send you some photos of what I did - nothing fancy, but it would take a tornado to knock it down now!
In fact, I am thinking about adding another diffuser to my system this year in the shallower end of the pond as well.
if you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM and I will answer them.
I subscribe!

I have no experience with those, I have an American Eagle 23ft mill. It worked flawlessly for 6 years with only having to replace the check valves. This fall a bolt came out of one of the bearings in the head, it caused a good deal of damage. They sent me FOR FREE the top tower section, an entire head assembly, and new blades. That is amazing, they fessed up to having the wrong bolts in the bearings and STOOD BEHIND IT.
