Go to YouTube and look up sling-x-bow. I'm trying to figure out how to build one for hog hunting.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

You just looking for the "fun" factor, or because it's quiet?
With that much pressure on the device, I'd feel a whole lot better if it was made from aluminum instead of wood. I'd hate for one of the arms to break off and send the end of the band towards my face.

Hey, I missed the tutorial. I figured on wood because I don't have a machinist in the family.

I'm trying to figure out how to build one for hog hunting. ..... For hog hunting???? Seriously!!!    Those gadgets are better suited for "hog perturbing", and the shooter better be wearing running shoes instead of hunting boots. If you're gonna do it anyway, you might as well build the Gatlin-Gun version ( tutorial video ). BTW: I'm now fully convinced that your anti-hog enthusiasm will eventually result in a visit to the local jail or hospital.
