Had a perfect green bloom until about 3 weeks ago(20 in. vis.) then water turned brown. Thought maybe was a bloom die off but the vis still remains at 20 in. Bloom is still in water and looks like it did when it was green, does not appear to be dying but I sure liked the green color better. Any thoughts?

The green or phytoplankton is vegetation, now the zooplankton, or animal plankton is grazing on it.
Zooplankton has a more brown tint to it.

Ditto BM's post as per Bob 's prior posts. When it goes from green to brown the zoo is eating the phyto. As the vis. increases you can add a little fert. and bring on a new cycle depending on your pond , goals and water quality.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm thinking my tea stain problem is the zoo eating the phyto. I now relize this because I had a bloom just prior to the dark tea color. I now have to deal with my clarity problem. My first step will be to test the soil and H2O.
Thanks Randy
