12 acre pond.
very little structure and little to no "bloom" throughout the pond. water is clear and bottom can be seen in 8 feet of water.Bass are all small. Bluegill are pellet trained and big (1+lbs). Also has some catfish that have topped out at 8 pounds +/-.

i have the feeling that a proper fertilization plan, removal of a bunch of bass (with proper record keeping to keep the type As happy), and some time....we should be OK.

so....when to fertilize? proper water temp? liquid vs granular paltforms? amount per acre?
and any other questions answered that I didn't know to ask.

thanks in advance--2th

2thdoc we started the fertilization in Orangeburg SC last week. I would expect the clear water this time of year. I highly rec. water souluble fertilizer. It is much easier and efficeint when comapred to liquid or granular. It might even be cheaper.

Also if you have not had the alkalinity checked it might just be futile to start ferilization at all. It needs to be above 20 pppm.
