I have what I believe is Reed Canary Grass starting to grow in my pond. I believe it got a slight foothold last Fall when the water level was low, and now since the water level is up, it is still growing. It is growing around the Varigated Sweet Flag that I got from Bill Cody, amongst the Arrowhead that I planted last year and it's showing up among the Rushes and Sedges that are starting to fill in around the pond. It is in water up to 12" deep or so.
I actually have two different types of grasses that look virtually the same, except one has sharp backwards facing "teeth" and one does not. The grass that is in the water does not have the "teeth". The "teeth" are not readily visible, but it will put small cuts on your legs if walked thru with shorts on. the other type feels smooth to the touch when you grab it near the base and let it slide thru your closed hand from the base to the tip of the plant.
What can I use to control either or both of the grasses without harming the other marginals that are growing in and around the pond?
I would consider using Poast, but it is NOT rated for use on or near ponds, so it's out of the question.
Suggestions????

I'm glad the GSA spots toothed "putting plants" for PB members!!! Those buggers are nearly as nasty as GSF!!!! Even Condello won't work on those teeth!
