im currently digging a new pond in my backyard
its slightly smaller 1/16 of an acre and its around 7 feet deep and im thinking of stocking bream(bluegill), minnows and maybe channel cats, but is my pond to small?

What are your goals for the pond? What's the physical size? (feet length x width)

my goal is to raise some bream and the pond is 45 ft. by 52 ft. somewhere around there.

No, the pond isn't too small. I'd stock the FHM now, wait until the water cools down a bit (say late Sept.) and stock the BG. If it was me, I'd not stock the CC unless you really want to catch some to eat.

To maximize the effeciency of the pond, I'd look into getting the fish on a feeding schedule with good food, and install a bottom diffuser aeration system.
