I went to my feed store to buy some Perfect Pond fertilizer for my lake and they told me they have now switched to the Pond Pro brand. I felt confident in the Perfect Pond brand as it has been around for a while and a lot of people use it. The Pond Pro brand comes in the same 25# box and even looks like the exact same mix and color. Does it work well? It is cheaper and if it works the same I would rather use it. Any help would be appreciated.

It should do fine. The key is it should be water soluble and the formula 10-52-4.

Look to see who the manu. is and post the name.

It is manufactured by Cannon Packaging Co. out of Humbolbt, TN. I called and tried to get some info on the product and they told me the company is owned by a co-creator of Perfect Pond. A few years ago this person left Perfect Pond and started making his own which is Pond Pro. They said he addded a micro pack to the formula and it should be even better than Perfect Pond. Does this sound accurate to anyone? I purchased 4- 25# boxes that the instructions say should be applied at 6 lbs. per acre. I paid $39.00 a box. I can't remember what I paid for Perfect Pond, but I think it was over $50.00.

I don't think they make the fert. They may add something to it. I believe they are a sale and packaging company (speciality products) not the manu. plant.
