go back and look at old posts by some of our experienced forum members? Not just for finding an answer to a question you know has been discussed, but just for nostalgic reasons like where people we now know as experts were when they started? It's interesting to see how many posts, hundreds of pages of posts for some members are listed. It's also interesting to see some of the questions they asked way back when and now the same people are answering some of the most difficult pond management related questions for all to see. It's amazing how much can be learned about pond management simply by taking advantage of all this site has to offer. I'm by no means an expert but when I start talking about my pond with the knowledge I have gained from this site to people I know, they are impressed by how much it takes to properly manage a pond, and that it's way more than a hole in the ground with water and fish added. I want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me, directly by answering questions or indirectly by posting valuable information on this site! I'm so thankful for Bob Lusk, all of you, and for this forum. I'm also thankful for our great nation so Happy Birthday America! Have a great and safe weekend everyone!

FRPeeps -- thank you for posting that.
We are extremely fortunate to have so many knowledgeable people who take the time to help others. One of the great things about the site is that we can get a number of really good opinions and answers, most of which are extremely valuable. Something I really like is that if somebody presents something that may be based on wishful thinking, or that is way out in the weeds, the others gently make sure that inaccurate information is reasonably corrected without embarrassment or condescension. I'd have to say that between the forum, the magazine, the four PB national conferences, and the local/regional get-togethers, we've all learned a tremendous amount from Pond Boss that we can impart to others.
And DIED -- you have been pretty scarce lately. Don't be such a stranger! If nothing else, put on your Gilly suit, walk on all fours, and go thrill JHAPs cameras.

FRP you are so right. I know I have learned a ton from others here. Not only science type stuff but a bunch of practical everyday ways to do pond and land tasks. But just as important are all the life long friends I have made. Thanks guys.

Thank you Pond Boss family - and thank you Peeps for reminding all of us to be grateful for the forum, Mr. Lusk and Otto, the moderators, et al.
Sure wish we had a regional get together planned. Anyone down for a Midwest meeting?

TJ, get on over to Otter Creek on the 9th for the QDMA seminar. Dr. Grant Woods is the key speaker. Mikey and I will be there, N8LY and Greg Grimes too. I don't know who else from here will be there. Drag Josh along. We gotta drive 4+ hrs one way there, I figure you gotta do about the same. Sounds like it's in the middle from this end!
