Finally got my aerator up and running. This is just a temp set up untill I can afford a professional set up.
600' of water hose connected to a 2' piece of soaker hose coiled up and ziptied in a 5 gallon bucket. this is connected on the opposite end to a regulator in my dads shop. which in turn is connected to his air compressor. see pics below

I like it. I expect that a professional diffuser might be more effective but this looks like it moves water and that is the goal. Also, the professional compressor just might be a lot more cost effective to run.

Repeat: I like what you've done.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

That air compressor certainly shows it's age. I wonder if it would pass a hydro-static test? I am thinking probably, unless it has internal corrosion. Those old tanks were built out of a lot heavier steel than what you can by knew today.

Since you operating costs are zero (Dad's Compressor) your system could well become a long term solution. grin

Thanks Dave
I'm planning on upgrading a piece at a time, starting with the diffuser, then compressor. Then I plan on getting the flexable pvc and trenching it in. Hope to get that done by next season. Its kinda like me owning the original hatchet that george washington used to cut down the cherry tree. Its just had the head and handle replaced a couple times.

Hey Dennis no problem glad I could help! That little compressor is a sweet deal isn't it?

I love mine and she's not real loud either! Keep up the good work!
