I have Varible Leaf pondweed in my pond and I wondered if Hydrothol 191 would kill this weed. I know that Hydrothol 191 is lower in price than Aquathol Super K. Will it work?

Take someone new fishing at your pond. They'll be hooked forever.

Hydrothol can cause problems with fish . Aquathol does not have that problem. I have found 2 methods of VLPW control - Aquathol or Clearcast both with a surfactant. Reward or CUSO4 will burn it back but not for long.

Here a reward application will burn it back at a low dosage and the potomogeton not retun in same growing season. This will be cheaper than either option I feel.

Greg I have had VLPW come back in the same summer season after Reward application. It even kept spreading over a bigger area.

I agree. We have had that happen too but also just letting folks know we also have not had it come back and amazed how little product we used, potomo is about the easiest to kill but I hate to kill it nice habitat if kept under control.
