Has anyone used Sportsmans Choice? I can get it easier than other feed and it's 36 percent protein. The price is $14 for 25 lbs. I want to use it for supplemental feeding.

Can you tell what the protein source is? That's $1 per 25# less than I'm paying for AquaMax here. ($30 for a 50# bag)

Ken, both 500 and 600. You made me dig up the reciept. $30.09 per bag before tax. Up $2.00 bag from a month ago. Bar MM Feed, Culver, Indiana. They get in roughly 12 bags of different sized feed (usually 400, 500 and 600) per week.

I'm about $37 before tax.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I think it's all about fuel prices and how far it has to be shipped.

And the supplier (co-op etc). My price last price was $ 32 for 50 lb. AM 600. Ken you are paying your co-op way to much at that price.
First - what type of fish ? Second - that food looks to be not based on fish meal as the protein source. I would not want to feed it to BG , LMB or HSB without knowing more as protein and lipid source is key.

Supplemental feed for BG in a 3/4 acre pond. I thought I'd read somewhere that the type of protein was important. Thanks for clarifying.

I used it about a month ago but can't remember what I paid. The feed barn was out of Aquamax so I bought this stuff. Normally my fish will only eat Aquamax, if I throw out regular old "Catfish Feed" from TSC or wherever, they won't touch it; however they did seem to like this Sportsmans Choice stuff, I just didn't pay much attention to it as I knew I wouldn't be using it much. I'll probably be using it again if Aquamax is "on order"

I just received a 40# bag of Aquamax largemouth. It took 2.5 weeks to get here and cost $40. The HBS took to it immediately, and the LMB are liking it now after a slow first day.
Just do it...

I just ordered 1,000 lbs of AquaMax and I'm being charged $33 a bag. How much are you feeding? Seems feed doesn't store well on a long term basis. I've had it go bad in about 6-8 months.
