Water temp here is kinda cold lol.. I was back in it tonight for quite awhile.. Here's some teaser pics of the work in progress on the dock.. I know it looks all crooked but it wont when its all bolted together and the concretes setup and my last 2 barrels are put under the walkway. Tell me what you think..

Looks good. Just curious. How have you got the walkway secured to the bank/posts? Is it hinged to accomodate varying water levels?

I'm gonna use a 1" threaded rod all the way through both post and the dock..

Good idea. I have my walkway built in two sections that are hindged with a 1" all-thread. If you can swing the cost, I'd go with stainless steel. You'll never have to worry about it again. A nylon lock nut to keep it in place to.

Beautiful dock, I really like the integrated seating at the back with the front and a portion of the sides open for fishing. Great job!

BGK -- I'm just curious how much your pond level varies over a year's time. When we built our floating dock, we had to build it so that it could vary as much as 3-feet. Ours remains at or near full-pool most of the time. But, really heavy rains in the springtime, or from hurricanes in the fall, it can get at least 18 inches above full pool before it goes over the emergency spillway. Last year during the drought, it dropped about 18 inches by the end of August.
We used gate/barn door hardware, which seems to hold up pretty well for many years.
Also -- it looks great!

Think Tan. Think Pond Barge. That should be the perfect combination.
