Pondbosses-
Ok we completed our liming- we put 52 tons in a 23 acre lake. All of it went in by spraying lime in with a gas powered water pump off of a pontoon barge. We were able to spread it over pretty much the entire lake.
It was a huge job but we got through it. Looking forward to the next steps so-
Here are our water quality numbers from BEFORE we limed- calcium 7ppm magnesium 3ppm sodium 14ppm potassium 5ppm boron .06ppm carbonate 0ppm bicarbonate 38ppm sulfate 22ppm chloride 21ppm nitrate less than .01ppm phosphorous .03ppm pH 5.94 conductivity 118 hardness 2 grains CaCO3/gallon hardness 29ppm alkalinity 31ppm total dissolved salts 109ppm BAR 1.1
So my questions are: -how long should we wait until we fertilize (we haven't done so yet this year)? -And how long should we wait before we get another water analysis from A+M? -Obviously we would like to see a meaningful change in our ph so how long would you think that would be?
Thanks again!

Fertilize now. The alkalinity is good enough as is and will improve over the next few weeks. Wait a mth and get another analysis. Ph changes during every 24 hour period. Don't worry about pH if your alkalinity is over 20ppm. See this from the archive first. http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=96127#Post96127
