Since I got the pond I have thought about starting over because of the unknown and also the known..Crappys I caught another one today. It was 10 1/2 inches and weighed 8 oz. After filleting the fish I dicected it to see what it was eating. There was a bunch of greenish larvie i guess 1/4 to 1/2 inch long and the width of like a milimeter. No evidance of fish. I have 2 questions. Does anyone know what it was eating? I have seen it before in unwanted sunnys bellies. And how bad could this be having crappy in the pond? They do not seem to be there in big numbers..I say seem. who knows. Today I saw lots of small bass either last years or this years on seroids. Thanks

Joey, I think that if you keep hammering the crappie, they will stay nice sized. I don't think I would worry about them. If they do become a problem, you can start over then.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
