MIke, I'm doing one now but I'm certainly not a Pro.
Go to TexasFishingForum.com. They have several there.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Mike, send George1 a PM. He might know. Do it quick, I think he's getting ready to leave on a fishing trip. I ain't saying any more about that trip, it's for George to tell. George, you'd better take a lot of pics!!!!

Anyone know of any custom rod builders, preferably around the DFW, Tx area? Mike, I have built dozens of fishing rods – spin casting – bait casting – fly rods … and enjoyed the satisfaction of crafting a custom fishing rod that one could be proud - at an affordable price. Being a CHILD of the GREAT DEPRESSON left a mark on me – I’m from the old school of “make it last – use it up –make it do”. When I got serious about fly fishing, the quality up-scale (I hate that word) fly rods were in the $600 buck range and IMO there is no fly rod in the world worth that much money, so I built my Sage fly rods for a third of retail price. I got out of the rod building business when Temple Fork Outfitters came along and offered high quality fishing rods at an affordable price – with a lifetime – no fault guarantee. No more rod building for me! Follow DD's advice about Texas Fishing Forum for rod builders.
