I have a 6 acre pond, has bluegill, crappie, bass, and carp. I had catfish but they were all fished out. Would stocking 50 8-12 inch fish per acre provide decent catfishing?

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has documented some pretty significant predation on CC by LMB when the CC are under 10". If I were stocking 8-12 inch fish, I'd try to lean real heavy towards the twelve inch range.

Yes depending on where you live and if you feed the fish you can stock 50 per acre or more. How large are your bass? 10-12 inch would be better with 4+ lb LMB
