I was at a wholesale auction the other day and was high bidder on 500 packs of small dried shrimp. Does anyone know if feeding these to our trout would be a good or bad idea?

timberframe they should be fine as long as there are no additives to them, high in protein and probably close in nutrition to freeze dried Krill which is what I feed to my PKS's in the RAS tanks.

OK great, I have alot of them. What about the size? They are about 1/2" to 5/8" long. I hope I dont have to cut them up.

I know nothing of the nutritional value, but I do know that pretty much all fish love them. I had LMB in an aquarium that would only eat live minnows. I had some left over from a meal my wife put together and they gobbled them up as fast as they hit the water.

Goodness! Dried shrimp as fish food borders on sacrilege, timber! Two questions: how many pounds do you have and what would you accept for them?

My mistake, Timber. Freeze dried = fish food, sun dried = people food.
