"Look Ye To The Heavens – Tomorrow’s (Saturday) full moon is closest to earth in almost 20 years. We also have an eclipse and Vernal
Equinox this weekend. Very high tidal pressures and increased earthquake watch. Solar activity may spike." From a UBS report.

What are you seeing WRT spawning activity ? Go out and look at the moon.

LMB have eggs, but normal spawning doesn't happen until next month or May depending on water temp.

Wow, that moon looks good. When you think that we were able to send people
to the moon and bring them back, it really makes one appreciate all of those
smart people out there. So, if we can send a man to the moon (and back) why
can't "they" fix the potholes on my street??? Is that too political?

Just do it...

All about priorities and who is in charge of the priorities. grin

Yeah, we are preparing for a Mad Max scenario up here laugh laugh laugh

I have actually had a person come to me who wanted me to dig a hole and bury a 6000 gallon tank for a habitable refuge. Guess they are worried about Zombies.

Like Y2K happened and quite a few people freaked out prior. Now the Mayan calendar runs out next year. That should really effect gas prices eek

When the plug is pulled by the Man upstairs, It would be in an instant! You would never know what happened, and I expect the rewards will be great for some!

In my personal opinion, the world is suffering due to Greed, and it will probably never be repaired. But, we have to live with it.

Back on track with the question - anybody see any noticable effects on their fish (spawning) or other non-human animals. Please nobody say they saw/heard the plants or trees talking about it or that it caused all the ice to melt.

O.K. Ewest, I won't. But, I will tell you what I heard the frogs say about the moon if you ask nice! grin I'll bet you Travis has some good observations on the "human animals" activity during the full moon!

In all honesty, I didn't see any activity that was different than the activity that I normally see during any regular full moon.

Eric,

I didn't think the moon looked any bigger or brighter at all. Perhaps 30,000 km's is not really that much and this is a media hype?

Too cold do see anything different as far as animal activity up here I think.

It was very big here but I could not tell that it was any brighter.

Not hype as the source is good (not web bs).

No spawning here yet. We had lots of rain and muddy water that probably delayed things.

All I can say is the phone is ringing a whole lot more with the weather warming and people wanting to stock fish.

Eric. I have definitely seen activity. Two weeks ago I observed male LMB preparing beds. Done several surveys over last two weeks. Females have eggs but are suspended just off any dropoff they can find. They are not shallow yet. Males are.

In Texas bass are ready to spawn. Bluegill spawned sometime in January and are also in flat shallow areas preparing beds. It's Spring Time.

Well around here most of the water I fish is pretty murky so not able to see activity. But I can say that both Crappie and Bass are full of eggs and I predict they should start spawning within the next 2-3 weeks.

Well better late than never. Our LMB are now spawning. We have had temp swings and rain (lots) that slowed things down. No sign of a BG spawn. Did look at a lake 2 weeks ago where the LMB had finished spawning.
