Just ran across this company for anyone looking for a cabin type structure on a smaller budget. I could see going with one of these if I bought some land until I could afford my dream house. Then later use this as the guest house once the dream/retirement house was built. MyMiniLodge Website: MyMiniLodgeFacebook:

Pretty good price there, but seen better in past research. I looked at these style cabins before deciding to build myself, and then a lack of employment nixed it all together. A couple of place make them in the DFW area. I even went so far as to talk to one guy who will build it on site if you don't have the road to get one in where you want it for 10% extra. He ended up being the out of regular work new home construction foreman for one of the big builders in my neighborhood. They are just to long and skinny(for trailering) to look right unless they have a porch added to the long side.

I agree Jeffrey I was already thinking if I had one made I would have them make a matching wrap-around porch on either model. That would really add to the over-all look and give an illusion that the cabin was much larger.

I was looking at the small cabins, also some of the park model (house type) homes that were really neat. I ended up with a Keystone VR1 305FKS because it is mobile, and quite comfortable for my needs and will make a nice guest house when the pond is in.
