well....., let's just say that I did not consult with the young, pregnant, Amish girl, working at the local general store like I did with the Steelers taking it all the way! No No No..... But I would like to see a fish off between Bruce and Nate! Both are my favorites. Nate reminds me of my nephew Dave, and I am super proud of him! So, we will have to wait.....
If n8ly reminds you of your nephew, who does Brucille remind you of?
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
Bruce, If I go down, I will make sure to take you down with me.... Anyhow, you may have the upper edge on a bass tournament, but you would fall fast if we were having a big bluegill tournament!! My good friend owns a big bluegill website that I occasionally post pictures onto! Let me take that back, your going down in the bass tournament too!!!
My prediction is that my team will bring in 11.50 lbs of various species of bass and come in second place to some lurking forum reader who will jump onto the scene with a blockbuster fishing tournament win! Bruce will bring in 7.35 lbs of spotted bass and finish somewhere in the middle. Grimes is good for 2 fish (both barely legal largemouths) so it all depends on who he gets partnered with on where he is gonna place!
Any bass will do~ as long as it is alive and it meets the measurements. Table Rock Lake has Big Mouth, Small Mouth, White and Spotted Bass. If memory serves me right, though, everyone caught small mouth last time, right?
Whoever gets Buster Love for a guide should have a big advantage...I think it was Nate that left behind a bunch of Porcupine Fish Attractors, like 20 of them. Big Cedar called me asking what to do with them and I gave them to Buster and Stacey King to create some secret Honey Holes for bass.
Ok hope to catch a small mouth and Bruce there was one caught last year but yes spots galore. Speaking of spots- here is some smack talk for you Nate. My Dad was probably the best spotted bass fisherman in the country- that part is not debatable. I would think some of his expertise rubbed off on me while growing up fishing Lanier again one of the best spotted bass fisheries anywhere. We could catch em when others struggled to get a bite. So while my goals would be to catch a smallie I would take home a first place trophy as consulation prize.
Bruce, I hate to tell you, but Natester says the Brewster can't win this year's tourney, Nate has bribed me with ordering a truckload+ worth of fish for next Monday, along with the five footballs called Bass that will win the thing, but the kicker was a full day of fishing at the beautiful Lake Norris. (You know how great the fishing is there)
Just for spite all those female Yellow Perch I had culled for you have somehow turned into males......Divine intervention??? Who knows?
PS...Don't hold the trash talk against me when I visit for my appointment shortly after the Conference I'm open to an offer of a free crown instead of resin if you still want female YP...hehehe
Drum Roll...... I'm pulling names out of the infamous pink Condello Cowboy Hat
OK, Here are the teams... Team #1 Dan Lovin & Glenn Pollock Team #2 Josh Flowers & Duane Knickerbocker Team #3 Nate Herman & John Wilson Team #4 Blair St Amant & Philip Rasey Team #5 Justin Herman & Rex Rains Team #6 Amy Platter & Nate Robinson Team #7 Greg Grimes & Heath Spence Team #8 Mike O'Reilly & Dr. Grant Woods Team #9 is a Wild Card Team...
Rainman, looks like you're paired up with Mr. Smiles.

Oh if only live bait were allowed, yes, we'd clean up!

Mr. Wilson is gonna have to pull his weight. Fishing Table Rock is a whole lot different than fishing in intensively managed private water. I am much better at growing fish than actually catching them.
Anyhow I found out that Mr. Wilson owns the Aqua Doc Lake Management company and turns out I actually have met him a couple times. He wore shorts and hawaiian Tshirt to a pond convention up north in the middle of the winter.....
Had to make a little substitution on Team #1, so here is the updated line up: Team #1 Dan Lovin & Glenn Pollock Team #2 Josh Flowers & Duane Knickerbocker Team #3 Nate Herman & John Wilson Team #4 Blair St Amant & Philip Rasey Team #5 Justin Herman & Rex Rains Team #6 Amy Platter & Nate Robinson Team #7 Greg Grimes & Heath Spence Team #8 Mike O'Reilly & Dr. Grant Woods Team #9 is a Wild Card Team...
Sweet had not seen the list. We wlll teach a clinic on how to catch spots but hope to catch a smallie as well. Getting excited now. Nate let the smack talk begin. You are already pulling strigns I can tell getting to fish with a nice lady for the day and not a sweaty guy.
Final Team Selections: Team #1 Dan Lovin & Glenn Pollock Team #2 Josh Flowers & Duane Knickerbocker Team #3 Nate Herman & John Wilson Team #4 Blair St Amant & Philip Rasey Team #5 Justin Herman & Rex Rains Team #6 Amy Platter & Nate Robinson Team #7 Greg Grimes & Heath Spence Team #8 Mike O'Reilly & Dr. Grant Woods Team #9 Bruce Condello & Blaine Hession Team #10 Christina & Chris Blood
Greg, thats pretty low calling John a pretty girl! Boy do I feel sorry for Heath having to fish with a southern boy with an accent who has never caught a smallmouth bass before.
Hey everyone, I have some great tournament pictures on my Vertex Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/VertexWaterFeatures They are in 3 different albums. Wow, that was so much fun!!! Like the Vertex FB Page while you're there! I'll be posting more Conference pictures day by day.
