On a 2.4 acre lot, I'd like to build a .25 acre pond. A pb tip said check the existing ponds in the area and see how they retain water. Most of them are dry or low. These seem to be livestock watering holes. How can I keep the pond level constantly up for fish stock pond? Should I use a liner/s?

liner will keep water from draining out but it will still evaporate.. I would consider a well to pump water into the pond constantly, not cheap but will work..
I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease.. BG. CSBG. LMB. HSB. RES.

Good rains and dependable runoff are the only keys to full ponds.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
