It's amazing what good management will do. My hat's off to you know who. I was expecting a smallie pic as well.

Like this?

Yes, that bluegill was 1-15 and 3/8. The bluegill hadn't eaten for about five days and were still hovering right at the 2 pound mark.

Last weekend! I got pampered for three days. NHL games, NBA games, great food. The members of Pond Boss are amazing when it comes to hospitality.

Which one? Actually virtually all of the big bluegill were between 11 and 11.5 inches.

Great pictures Bruce! It is good to see and hear that the smallies are still thriving in Arizona. Thanks for posting.

Yes! All of the smallies were at least 18 inches, and all were extremely healthy. I found that quite impressive.

How close to the 800 pound harvest did you guys get? That fishery is just incredible! I hope I can find a way to make a personal delivery there someday...

Let's put it this way.

We passed 800 pounds pretty early in the game.

Every single fish pictured is gorgeous! Great body form, and great fins (I always equate that with healthy). Ball cap's not too bad, either. smile

If you have the right system and the knowledge to run it you can produce lots of pounds of fish. If you make a mistake it can smell bad quickly.

I would give this one an A+.

Thanks Bruce for all you assistance, guidance, mentoring, support, and seine work! And everyone else thanks for the kind words about the fishes. You can pretty much think of this as Bruce's west coast warmwater pond. smile

But don't get too excited yet, this is still a work in progress... and as I shared with Bruce, it's like taking a picture of a painting that's 1/2 done. Give me a few more years with these fish. But not too shabby if you read about all the things you 'can't' do with a small pond: 1/10 acre pond now has 6lb lmb, 3lb smb, and 2lb bgs...

As Eric said, you can do amazing things if you manage for it.
