Has anyone on here tried Moores Fish Farm?

Just like to know how your experience was and how healthy the fish were.

Thanks

Since Todd is upping his post count, I will too. grin Never heard of them. They are a bit too far away from me to do me any good, so I never searched for them.

In fact, I've seen some people do it recently just to get onto the leaderboard.

After all, as Eric pointed out during that embarrassing episode, there's no prize of different status for having the most posts.

To think you'd accuse me of "upping" my post count is just ludicrous!

And I demand a retraction by you! grin

Okay, maybe THIS particular post was an effort to increase my post count, but those others were legitimate afterthoughts to my first response to you!

You know I will! I can't wait to see them and get them into the pond tomorrow. Thanks again for the generosity in letting some of them go!

what kind of Tilapia are they and how many did you stock?

Did they do what you wanted them to or expected from them?

Where you ever able to catch one out of your pond?

How long did they make if before they died off?

They were mixed. Some were white, some were red and white. Some look liked mozambique. I stocked 30lbs and that was all they had. If I'm not mistaken, they don't sell them anymore and I got the last of them.

Yes, they did pretty well producing forage. I didn't have a weed or FA problem then (that was last year).

Yes, I caught almost all of them. The ones that wouldn't bite a hook, got snagged. Good eating to.

Almost all of them made it until the water temp got down to 48F. I was able to catch some of fry before it got too cold and I over wintered them. Almost all of them made it to this year when I put about 30 4-6inch back into my pond. Don't think I will be able to do the same this year because I'm seeing no tilapia fry and about 30 three pound tilapia swimming around.

Actually, no, I was thinking of one of our friends who shall remain unnamed, but he lives on the left coast and his fist and last initials are "JH" and "AP" but you'll never get me to identify him directly! grin

(Now reply to this one and get yet another post!)

I kept them in a 75 gallon aquarium. I started with fry less than 1/4 inch long and the grew to 4-6 inches.
