We're at peak color already up here, windy yesterday and the leaves are coming off fast. Sun setting behind me, view from the deck.

We were in the 90's this past weekend. Looking at the upcoming forecast, they are calling for lows possibly into the 30's for the upcoming weekend. Our leaves are just starting to turn... When I was in PA last week they were a bit ahead of here in VA but not by much. Lots of brown from the heavy drought. At least this rain is breaking that now. Beautiful shot of your place AP!

AP
I could sense there was something beckoning me back to the forum...boom - there's another one of your classic shots. Thank you!

Reminds me of the colors in New England when I lived there as a kid. Incredible and very intense. People tell me southern Indiana is great but I've seen it and it's laughable compared to New England. Not even close. I haven't seen any colors compared to New England anywhere I've been in the country. There may be but I haven't seen them.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Beautiful shot AP. We were having somewhat of a heat wave up north during our first week of fall. Daytime temperatures in the mid 90's, night time temperature in the high 50's.

Winters on the way ,the leaves are mostly gone except for the Beech trees. This morning it was 26 degrees and we had light snow for an hour. Water temp. is 46.8 @ 5ft., next phase is deep freeze.

Looks like you're starting to get some decent color. Hmmmm, venison.
