Special Fishing Trip - first pond fishin’ since April! Air temp 53 degrees - near surface water 73.8 degrees - beautiful morning - light and variable winds - clear sky - bright moon - blue bird day and lockjaw fish ….. but caught a few fish anyway …. I know … “without documentation, just another fish story” ….. but this is my story and I’m stickin’ to it!
Couple of two pound LMB - one fat feed trained bass caught on a pellet fly - one skinny caught on a big bass bug from the edge of water primrose tryin’ for forage …..
Two fat and sassy HSB and a couple dozen of CNBG - mostly 5-6 inch that we transferred to little pond - largest about 8 inches but the feeders had gone off an hour before so poor appetites.
The good news is that it was a landmark day for both Mrs. G and Me!

Pretty awesome, n8ly.
How bid is that LMB?
And, I'd like to get that image of the pike's (it is a pike, right?) eye in the water!
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

George, I went fishing over the weekend. My dad and I were invited up to southern Wisconsin to fish with professional angler and InFisherman regular Steve Ryan. He put us on some real nice fish. Really/Really Nice Fish!!!! Most exciting part of my trip was nearly fall into the pond! CONGRATS!!!

When is your next fishing trip George?
Sunil, if you click on the picture on my fishing blog it will open up into a new window in its original size and you can copy it from there.

When is your next fishing trip George? As soon as I can!!!! Wobbly legs almost put me in the pond! Water level down almost 3 ft and slick banks - N.E. Texas missed the big rains. Bushed this morning ...

A Fall trout from the local creek and a LMG that spilled into the creek from the lake as well. One of my 2008 stocked SMB - he was CHUNKY.

Awesome fish, George! What did you catch it on?
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

Seeing CNBG like that make me want to get rid of the GSF in my pond like RIGHT NOW!!! I'm considering stocking mature CNBG in large enough quantities to chase the GSF outta house and home.

Awesome fish, George! What did you catch it on? Sparkplug, after being out of commision all summer of record 100+ degree days, my immediate objective is to see how my 2008 class of pure Florida CNBG survived. My survey fly was a foam pellet fly - fish on almost on every cast until bright sun hit the water - FUN!!!! Most males in the 9-10 inch range.
