I have the same type looking minnow. I thought I was told they were blunt nose minnows??? Not sure though.


The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

They're ok in a pond but need moving water to spawn so they will not reproduce, meaning a very temporary forage option.

They look like fathead minnows to me, but it's been a long long time since I've had to identify members of the minnow family. I can assure you there are a lot of them!

Creek chubs for sure. I throw them in my pond when I get small ones. They get nailed by the LMB quick. Large chubs wont live for more then a day or two.

I have heard they are excellent bait but have never fished with them.
