It was a lot more work than I thought digging a little 1/4 acre pond beside my food plot. I dug down until I hit rock and back filled 2' w/ clay. 7'at the deepest w/ a good dropoff all the way around. I packed everything the best I could by running over it w/ my only tool 580K. We recieved 2" of rain so it's starting to fill up but not much. We are in a severe dought. My wife thinks I'm crazy but my son (13 yrs old) and I are having a ball. MM Praying for alot of rain.

Hey, my Wife has figured I needed to be committed for years. Today, when the temp hit 106 I headed to one of the ponds. Yeah, this stuff can be fun and addicting.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP
