How accurate is this chart? by this chart the bass I've been weighing are over the weight example [9 inch bass, 5oz] [10 inch, 7 oz] here is the chart I've been using http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/growing_larger_bass.html I'm Guessing it has to do with were you live, still they seem skinny to me

both charts are pretty close to one another, one is just in ounces and one is in decimals.
thanks for the links, i'll get some numbers together on the fish next time i go out. i'm sure they are too light, that lake is overcrowded big time.

Let me look- I thought we had both grams and lbs-ounces on the site but I guess not. We highly prefer the grams b/c more accurate from a kitchen scale on the small bass. Also you don't have to fool with ouncs ortenths on scale. It is foreign to some but easier after the first couple of uses.
I promise to get a lbs chart up. We made thsi chart so you don't have to the math most of the time. Obviously if over 100% or ultra skinny stil have to do the math. Yes Sheppard it is the same info just shown in a different way. Gl

Speaking of weighing fish, does anyone have any suggestions for those of us who prefer not to let our precious lunkers dangle by their lip or gill while weighing them? Some sort of net/sling thing? Commercially made or home made.

A small mesh laundry bag may work.
I would like to have some suggestions on a scale that is nice and accurate that will not break the bank.
Anyone have a set of scales they recommend.
Thanks

http://lakework.com/cart/index.php?p=product&id=150&parent=12We have used very expensive scales and used cheapy walmart scales. The longevity is what gets us this is the best we have ever used for the money. It is also nice becasue it has a large tub for holdign the fish. Any kitchen scale will work for awhile as well and are very accurate.
