Hello. I'm new to this forum and not quite sure if this is the place to ask my question. I am in the process of having built a wetlands pond of around 3 1/2 acres. This will not only be a pond for waterfowl but also for fish in the deeper areas. The design calls for 100' of 8" pipe through the dam and connected to a 24" riser in the water pool so the pond level can be lowered 18" and millet or other suitable grasses planted. The design calls for welded steel, but I would like to go with pvc as it is more within my budget, but I have not been able to come up with a connection of the 8" to the 24" that will not leak. I have contacted several area pipe companies and they couldn't help. Does anyone here have a suggestion?
I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.

For your connection problems, contact Kieth at Pond Dam Piping. They are great people and big forum supporters....They also supply very good flashboard risers that would be perfect for what you are wanting to do. http://www.ponddampiping.com/
